They DID IT!!!

We used a GREAT deal of restraint to stay away from TV and Internet that would spoil the surprise for us until we could watch our recording of last nights late night Gold Medal Match for the Women's Olympic Volleyball.

I took some photos and video clips of everyone and their excitement...sadly I can only share the photos today.  I have to figure out how to make my video clips work with Windows media player so I can upload them to my picasa site to share.  I forgot this camera is formated to quicktime.  bummer.

SO, we were all loud as we cheered, and Zacky didn't like the noise.....  So he fixed that right up :O)

 

And the loud cheering continued!!

It was SO awesome to watch them win the gold.  These women are amazing to watch.  And the first to win back to back gold in their sport.  They said that Now they both hope to take a bit of a break to take some time to focus on their husbands and get on with makin' babies...or as they said, 'the Future generation of Volleyball Players.'

Yes.  Yes indeed, it was a thrilling match to watch!  Hope some of you enjoyed it as well (and thanks for not spoiling the surprise for us.)

Women's Beach Volleyball ROCKS!!!!

Here is our family's Current VAVORITE Pastime.  (And any time over the year's we've actually been able to manage to catch an airing of these lovely ladies playing in a match.)

Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh are THEE Greatest Women's Beach Volleyball Team EVER. (IN our families very excited opinion)

These 2 women are an amazing team.

They communicate well and are SO talented.  We've been watching in awe as they (and many other teams as well) dive into the sand and hop up to hit the ball again and again, over and over.  Talk about stamina.  Funny though, This team is SO good they've been winning in about half an hour every time we watch them play.  Great for them, but it's over SO fast -- we're SO excited for the Gold Medal Match on Wednesday Night.  Well, actually we'll have to record it and watch it on Thursday.  Jason's got to take his PTSD meds, and staying up for something that doesn't even Start until 11pm. . . not gonna happen. So, as a family, we'll wait - Then cheer and yell in our own moments to enjoy - trying to ignore all news and Internet so it won't ruin the results for us.

SO - watch and enjoy! They are just FASCINATING.

Craigan's Birthday :o)

August 5th was Craigan's 9th Birthday!!!

He had a great day!!! He was totally thrilled with the batman pillow I made him, the very cool Batman motorcycle, and the YUMMY Dairy Queen Cake. By far his favorite was the electronic Sudoku Game he got. He was also extremely excited when the mail came and THERE was his card from Grandma & Grandpa R. (my parents) :o)
